"Aum Brand has teamed up with photographer Dorrell Merritt to present a solid collaboration featuring Karen Storey. The brief was simple. To create a vision of beauty and simplicity. We spent a full day shooting on various locations around London climbing over fences and driving all over London to get the perfect shots. The collection is a two part series so expect to see second drop around late summer.

We shot a little making of video for you all to check out too.
Thanks to Dorrell, Karen, Jordan and Samantha for help piece this collab together.

That's right. Another trip to HK for a couple of weeks to paint the days away with WESC. I was invited to paint with some top class HK illustrators and painters in a Jam type event. DJ Stretch Armstrong was there spinning and Yone was there to take photo's of pretty girls as he does. All round fun night and fun vibes. The pieces are currently displayed in the Causeway Bay WESC concept store so check them out if your in the area! Thanks to VIC for hooking this up.

The time has come. In a couple of days I will have my first solo show hosted by Lava Gallery. A series of water colour's, pencil and spray painted portraits of people I have met whilst living in London will be displayed along with some limited prints.

I just got back from Hong Kong yesterday and after a 12 hour flight I could have quite easily jumped back on a plane back there. What an amazing city. Great people, great food, expensive beer and all round good vibes. Hope to be back there very soon but until then here are some pics of what went down.
Oh and those walls I left my mark on were untouched, huge and all mine :o).

Sorry for the lack of updates. The beginning of the year has been pretty busy and the rest of 2011 seems to be filled with lots of exciting projects. I am currently working on pieces for my solo show, "5 Years" which will be opening mid March. I recently had a meeting with Johnny from Ena Salon who is possibly one of the most driven dudes I have ever met. Not only does this guy have the slickest hair salon in central London (the spot has 4 floors) but he has outrageous ideas in his head. The mad thing is he actually makes them happen..... and they look good.
To simplify things for you, he decided to base his collection on a horse's maine which would be inspired by the works of Tim Flach. Outfits and hair cuts were solely based on this. Incredible what was acheived and I hear the crowds in Berlin and Sweden went crazy for it.
My piece was on display and I'm super happy with the feedback. Here are some pics of Johnny with his crew and my piece. Take your girlfriend to get her barnet chopped at Ena Salon. She will be pleased! ;o)

Last week Eastpak hosted an event at 2 venues in Manchester and London to celebrate the start of the student year. They got me to paint on stage infront of a bunch of drunk boys and girls whilst the DRM boys and a bunch of guest DJ's did there thing. I love New York! Visited some good friends, painted a piece for my friend Tiana but got rudely interrupted by a random tornado. Ate like a pig and walked what felt like 20 miles a day.

Ena Salon will be showcasing a series of hair cuts at the World Hair show in Berlin this year which will be inspired by Tim's photography. This canvas will be on display at the show. A couple of weeks ago Batlow and myself headed over to The Queen of Hoxton to take part in a little paint up to celebrate the 4th July. We were painting with some pretty big players like Zombie, Onion and more. We ate, drank and did our thing. We got a call later on to say that we won! Won what? We didn't realise it was a comp. Anyway, here is the finished piece.

A few month ago I was approached by Project Integration which is a collective based in down town L.A. Every second saturday of the month gallery's in the area showcase new talent and open their spaces for the public to check out art work, have a few drinks and party.
This was a no brainer so on September 11th I will be live painting along side my good friend Mister Batlow representing London.
I was asked to design the flyer (coming soon) and anything else I wanted to do so I decided to work with Director/Photographer Jordan Buck to put together a trailer for the show. Check it out....

Yesterday went down a storm. I didn't attend last year but apparently there was a lot more going on and the turn out was bigger and better. I have to say that the vibe was crazy. Skating, music, painting, graff, doodling..... the lot.

Last week myself and Mister Batlow took a train down to Billinghurst to do some work on STRIDE CREATIVE'S office wall. Malcolm, the creative director, had warned us the wall was big but wow this was BIG! 5m x 5m big. We were climbing up and down scaffolding and ladders for the day, had a camera filming our progress, fed beers and taking in that country air..... along with dirty fumes from the paint. Thanks to Nathan, Malcolm and the rest of the Stride family. Here are some snaps for you and also a video for you.

THE FOUNDRY - SAD TIMES.

If you were not aware, Hackney council have decided to knock down The Foundry. They want to "clear up" the east end clubs and night life to make way for new housing developments and increase value in the area. The famous building (The Foundry) will be knocked down and turned into an 18 storey Arts Hotel.
We (Batlow and myself) were commissioned yesterday to leave our mark on the exterior of the building before demolition begins in April. A sad day when the time comes.......

So the past of weeks have been non stop with the painting and sketching. The solid canvas pieces are going to be pretty moody with the colours so I have decided to do some paper works using oils, chalk and pencil. I was have invited out to L.A. to paint live at a new gallery created by Esteban Lopez. The YORK which is situated in down town L.A. houses some of the finest galleries and artwork. Artist's such as Albert Reyes, Ali Magana, C.M. Campbell, John Foxx and many more have showcased their work here.

I have recently started to use my Wacom tablet and I'm trying really hard not to use it every night. I promised myself I would always sketch/paint and draw and never give in to the digital world but it is so much fun to use and so precise. Drama in the art world of REIGN. :op

Yes I know I seem to be posting more trailers for movies than artwork recently but film is my driving force. This really looks like it will destroy anything that that drops at the same time. Director James Cameron (Titanic) will undoubtedly be recongnised for representing this masterpeice!

SMUT clothing had a little get together last night at PUNK, a Soho based club, which saw a bunch of heavy chested girls reppin the clothing line and getting various parts of their body painted. Mark from U.K.C. asked me to jump on board and get painting. You don't need to ask me twice to paint...... wonder why?
